Rollin’ in my 5.0 with my ragtop down so my hair can blow.

You can use cars in a strategic manner to improve your gameplay. Here are a few different approaches.
Movement with Cover
Vehicles are a great way to get around the map and for rotating into the circle. If you pick a vehicle that is enclosed, it also gives you shelter from attack. But be careful: windows can be shot out, and you can get sniped while driving. So make sure you maintain evasive action when moving.
Setting the Pace of a Battle
If you’re in a battle and someone has a car, that person usually sets the pace. The vehicle gives you cover, mobility, and the ability to engage/disengage. It puts you in conrol, so take advantage of that.
In Combat: Tag then Push
When you are starting a battle with a car, approach your opponent with the passenger side near them. That way, when you get out, you don’t immediately get shot, and the car acts as cover from gunfire.
When you’re shooting from behind a car, don’t stand right up against it. This won’t give you the angles you need to shoot effectively, and will require you to stick out of cover to shoot. Instead, stand a few feet behind it, about one body length. That way, you can shoot your opponent without sticking your body too far out to the right. And of course, make sure you’re shooting by peeking to the right, as in a right-shoulder peek.
The initial use of the car will let you get in some solid damage on your opponent. You may be able to kill them from a distance, which is great. But if not, you can use the car to push your opponent, which lets you finish off the opponent without them running away.
It’s also handy to switch seats in a car during battle, so that you get out on the correct side. You don’t want to roll up all ready for your drive-by and then hop out into the open. Switch to the side opposite your opponent when you get out, and then get out. If you program your controller like I do, this is easy.
As an Explosive to Annoy
If your opponent is trapped in a narrow space, you can always get in the car, drive it towards the space, jump out, then blow up the car. The explosion can kill or damage the opponent. And it’s super annoying, which is also helpful for throwing them off.
Remember the Drawbacks
Vehicles have drawbacks, and I’m not talking about the environmental concerns. In Fortnite, vehicles are loud and the visual audio indicator for them is triggered from far away. If you’re rotating with a vehicle, it’s really easy to see you coming.
When a vehicle explodes, the fire burns. Because there’s a delay when you get out of a vehicle, you need to begin the exit process before the car reaches 0 hp. If you wait, the explosion will burn you. I recommend getting out before the last 20 or so hp. They go fast.
